Overview

Luke Starling is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist, specialising in Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases and arrhythmia. He leads the Inherited Arrhythmia Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital and has a particular interest in ion channel disease (including long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and CPVT) and sudden cardiac death, on which he lectures both nationally and internationally. He has established a novel neurocardiac channelopathies Service and a left cardiac sympathetic denervation (LCSD) programme, whilst combining his role in inherited cardiovascular diseases with general paediatric and congenital cardiology. Dr Starling studied medicine at University College London and undertook training in Paediatric Cardiology at GOSH and The Royal Brompton Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH).
