Overview

Dr Ru-Xin Foong is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy, she obtained her medical degree in 2011 and sub-specialty allergy paediatric qualifications in 2022.  

She has previously worked as a Clinical Lecturer at King’s College of London undertaking a PhD looking at the natural resolution of food allergies across time utilising novel diagnostic tests and the health economic burden of food allergies in children. Her primary interests are in in paediatric food allergy and oral food immunotherapy. She is currently lead clinician of education and Palforzia (peanut oral immunotherapy) treatment at Evelina/GSTT.

She qualified from King’s College of London School of Medicine and Life Sciences in 2011 (MBBS) with a Distinction in Clinical Practice. She also has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from King’s College of London which she obtained in 2008.  

 

She completed her Paediatric qualifications in the UK with sub-specialty training in paediatric allergy in 2022 (MRCPCH) and remains a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.  

 

She is currently completing her PhD with King’s College of London Women and Children’s Health Division.
