Mr Simon Blackburn
Overview
Mr Simon Blackburn joined Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) as a Consultant Neonatal and Paediatric Surgeon in 2014. He trained at Guy’s and King’s at St Thomas’ medical school in London and his postgraduate training included posts at GOSH, Brighton, Chelsea and Westminster, Southampton and St George’s Hospitals. Mr Blackburn became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013 and was awarded the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons Medal for his outstanding performance in the intercollegiate examination.

Mr Blackburn has developed a keen interest in teaching and gained a Masters in Surgical Education from Imperial College London in 2012. He is currently the Education Lead for Technology Enhanced Learning at GOSH.
