Dr K.B. Das
Overview
Dr Krishna Das is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) with over 30 years’ experience in the field. He is also an Honorary Consultant at University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
Following his initial medical and postgraduate training in India, then specialised in paediatric neurology, he has subsequently been working in the UK. He has a special interest in the pre-surgical evaluation of children with drug-resistant epilepsy, including invasive monitoring. He also has expertise in the medical management of children with difficult-to-control epilepsy and also has a special interest in Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS).
Dr Das is qualified in Neurophysiology and can interpret and report routine, prolonged and Videotelemetry EEG recordings.
One of his main aims is to treat children with the least amount of appropriate medications so as to minimise side effects and optimise their quality of life. He has a keen interest in teaching and is a regular faculty member of various national and international training programmes.
