Spring has sprung at GOSH – Celebrate our spring patient party
Happy Easter to all GOSH patients, families and staff!
This year’s Spring Patient party, held in the Lagoon on Tuesday 27 March, was a riot of colour and fun. The event was aimed at all patients in the hospital and was free for all to attend.
Patients and families were invited to take part in seasonal arts and crafts such as hat-making and hairband decorating. They also got the chance to meet Spiderman, get temporary tattoos as well as have their nails and faces painted. Little Manha, age 4, who is a patient at GOSH, enjoyed getting her face painted with a bunny, and spending time making crafts with the staff. Yassir, age 6, made a lovely hat, and had his face painted like Batman!
Patients and families were serenaded and fascinated by the cast of Wicked, and a number of bright and colourful characters helped entertain the children throughout the party. There was also a fun photography booth for everyone to record their unforgettable memories of the party.
Over 60 patients and their families attended and had a lovely time. The children were also surprised with an Easter egg hunt and every child at the party was given a small Easter gift.
