Ms Abigail Bolland
Overview
Abigail Bolland (Abby) is a rotational Occupational Therapist currently working in International and Private Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. She works on the wards, covering most sub-specialities including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Respiratory/Long Term Ventilation, Oncology, Haematology, Immunology and Bone Marrow Transplant, and Intensive Care.
Abby graduated with honours in BSc Psychology at Queen’s University in Canada. After working in rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injuries she moved to the United Kingdom to complete her MSc in Occupational therapy and graduated with distinction from Oxford Brookes.
She started her occupational therapy career working with adults but decided to specialise in paediatrics and joined Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2023. She has completed rotations within rheumatology and the neurodisaibility service (selective dorsal rhizotomy and botulinum toxin).
Abby is CO-OP (cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance) and AHA certified and has attended training for upper limb splinting and casting for neurological conditions.
